Over twelve years of military service I finally did it. I started Your Momma’s Coffe Company off of what little I had and eventually started investing in bigger equipment, a commercial roaster and the necessary space to make it all happen. I am so happy to share with you the joy I had found it roasting my own coffee beans. Over the years I spent in South America I had developed a lot of friends. I would always go to the coffee plantations and get tours when possible. Most of them are not really set up for tours but when you are a prospective bulk buyer, they seem to accomodate better! I had a great time touring the regions and getting to know all that I could about coffee.
All beans are not equal. Although I source most of my beans from contacts I had made, there are some I cannot. For instance Kenya & African coffee beans I have to look for bulk suppliers which are organic, and fair trade. They are hard to find at a good price but I believe we must support the best labor practices and habitable growing practices as much as we can.
Now I would like to share with you some of my favorite roasts. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
